Member of the technical commission of the AIKI-KAI ZÜRICH
I had my first contact with Japanese martial arts at the age of eight when I started practicing Judo. Even though I enjoyed this training, I disliked the emphasis put on competition and the ambition of my teachers which exceeded mine by far. I started looking for alternatives and after a pause of several years, I discovered Aikido and joined the Aiki-Kai Zürich in 1995. After some time, I also started going to seminars in Switzerland and abroad to deepen my understanding of Aikido. Besides the fascination for the elegance of the movement I am particularly interested in the nearly infinite complexity of this art which cannot be described but only be grasped by personal long lasting practice.
